Arley Otalvaro is a well renown classical guitar player who resides in Chicago  but was born in a El Valle,  Colombia. He completed his musical educaiton in the Popular Cultural Institute in Cali, Colombia and in the Antonio Maria Valencia Conservatory also in Cali, Colombia. He is well known for his participation in classical folkloric groups, taking him on tour both within the United States and internationally. He also worked as a music instructor in music academies in the city of Bogota, Colombia. Arley’s  experience as a profesional musician has spanned for well over forty years, including the last 17 years of living and participating in many projects throughout the Chicagoland área. His participation in several institutions, including Ortegon School of Music has been crucial to the development of music programs in different cultural centers. He is well known for his performances as part of the group Cuerdas Colombianas,  which focus on educating audiences of classical Colombian and Latin American music. He is currently a profesor here in Ortegon School of Music and Works closely with Music Director, Johanna Ortegon to give the best possible music education to his students.
